She needed to play it cool, push aside her fantasy.

"Thanks," she squeaked, and then sighed in exasperation. Strategy blown. "I'm such a dork." Damn, had she just said that out loud, too?

"Why are you a dork?"

Yep, she had. She wondered - silently this time, as self preservation kicked in - if the night could get any more embarrassing.

"I said I'm such a fan of pork." She started walking away from him, "I'm starving, aren't you?"
